Through learning more about mental health and the enormity of the effects it has on individuals, families and entire communties we all have the capacity to create safe spaces where people can find a sense of belonging, as well as connect with like minds and empathic hearts.

You - me - we - can become those safe spaces.
Guided by our values of connection and empathy we strive to be non-judgemental, actively listen and honestly share with people that mental health problems are serious. But more than that, they are treatable! With the right amount of support received in the right place at the right time, by you - the right person - we can save lives.

Community Guidelines
CREATE DON'T DISCRIMINATE //
Â
The primary purpose of the Friendship Bench Community Minds programme is to bring together people who want to create more mindful, resilient and empowered communities.

We want people to work better together, we strive to create an inspiring, supportive, forward thinking, open minded community who can break the barriers of mental health stigma, increase open air discussions about mental wellbeing and encourage health seeking behaviours.
Although we maintain the site, this is a community we build together, and we need your help to make it the best it can be. We would very much like you to help us do just that, so here are some guidelines for how to participate — either on our site, out in the wild world of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, while participating in workshops or in in-person events.
